“Future opportunities in bamberg very high”

Bamberg receives top marks again. According to the latest future atlas published by the prognos institute, the world heritage city is rated as a "municipality with very high prospects for the future" with a very good rank of 32 among all 402 districts and independent cities in germany. "Bamberg is an attractive city with excellent prospects for the future", according to a press release from the town hall, mayor andreas stark (SPD) commented on the result.
The prognos institute compiles this nationwide ranking every four years. The future prospects are determined on the basis of 29 macro- and socio-economic indicators from the areas of demographics, labor market, competition and innovation, prosperity and social situation. These indicators also provide information about the strength and dynamism of a location over time.
The city of bamberg achieves a particularly good ranking for the economy and labor market indicator. "It is remarkable, but also not surprising, that bamberg is ranked 24th in the country. Bamberg is not only the job locomotive in upper franconia, but also in germany as a whole, with its more than 50,000 employees subject to social insurance contributions, whose number has grown by more than 20 percent in the last ten years", so strong more. Bamberg also has a commuter balance of over 25,000 employees subject to social security contributions. This means that significantly more workers come to the world heritage city than commute from here to their jobs.

County among up-and-comers

The good results in all four areas surveyed put bamberg in 36th place with a very high strength rank and in 50th place with a very high dynamism rank compared with all other municipalities.
The district of bamberg is only ranked 92nd, but it is one of the top ten in the whole of germany. Since the last ranking, the county has moved up 126 places. Previously, according to the ranking, the district had only a balanced ratio of opportunities and risks for the future; now it has slight opportunities at least.
Coburg is the only upper franconian municipality to be ranked ahead of bamberg, in 23rd place. This is mainly due to the fact that the city of bamberg is not only a job center, but also an attractive place to live innovation scores better than bamberg.
Overall, the district and the city of munich are once again ranked first and second in the prognos ranking. The municipalities with the best future prospects are mostly from the south of germany, even if some eastern german cities have caught up since the last surveys. According to the study, however, the outlook is rather bleak for many rural regions in eastern germany.
New this year, all 402 counties and cities now have an additional digital compass. This consists of three further indicators that show how well the regions are doing on the subject of digitalization. The indicators are based on the number of IT start-ups per 10,000 employees, the share of digital impulses in all employees, and job postings in the area of digitization. The city of bamberg also achieves "good chances" in this digitization compass for the future. "The best conditions for the digital ground center, then", according to oberburg mayor andreas stark.

Soon ebn and hoh again instead of has at the car?

The world of the car driver is so simple: the price of gasoline is too high, the radar trap is mean, and the worst drivers are the ones with the HAS license plates. This clarity will soon be over, if the federal transport minister has his way. Then one drives in the district HAS-berge again with EBN and HOH on the license plate and also in the district BA with EBN …

Peter ramsauer (CSU), the lord of all german roads, passed the "first ordinance amending the vehicle registration ordinance and other road traffic regulations" on the way. The 52-page printout with the number 371/12 will be discussed in the federal council after the summer break and, according to the federal minister of transportation, should on the one hand strengthen the regional ties of the burghers and on the other hand simplify the administrative workload in the licensing authorities.

farmers get up to 600 million flood aid

The federal states and the federal government are each contributing half of the sum, the federal ministry of agriculture explained. The money is to stay in the current and the coming year. The support to farmers is considered state aid and therefore requires the approval of the EU.

According to the berlin ministry, it is unlikely that the entire sum will be used up. At present, the farmers had reported damages of about 400 million euros. Of this, the lowen shares of 117 million euros each went to bavaria and saxony-anhalt. "We don’t foresee the damage amount going up," a spokesman said. At the moment, the water is still flowing away.

Csu sees 'chaotic situation

Bernhard panzer it was the beginning of march, before the municipal elections and also at a time when meetings could take place without hindrance. A little later, the corona crisis had wiped that out. For the next meeting of the building committee, the CSU faction of the herzogenaurach city council had come up with a special proposal. She was concerned about possible traffic regulations at the shopping center at the klingenwiesen.

Searching for solutions

The administration should therefore be instructed to work with the owner and operator to find better traffic regulations for the entrance and exit of the specialist retail center on erlanger strabe and, if necessary, to implement these regulations. As a result, the construction committee should be informed again. In the motion, bernhard schwab (at that time still chairman of the parliamentary group) and konrad korner explained that the “traffic situation at the shopping center, which has been very chaotic since the beginning”, had become worse has not calmed down. In particular, the two side-by-side entrances and exits – some with a median strip, some without – were causing problems, especially within the parking area.

Weakened due to lack of iron

Weakened due to lack of iron

Ulm – the german athletics championships in ulm were held in a worthy setting. With almost 15,000 spectators, the danube stadium was almost sold out, and the athletes thanked the spectators with good performances. TSV hochstadt was represented with only a small contingent, marco kurzdorfer (800 m) and konstantin wedel (3000 m obstacle). Martin grau decided not to start because he was about to leave for the U23 european championships.

For marco kurzdorfer the 800m final seemed far away this year, he only just qualified for the national championships after a known lack of iron. And also the start list of 21 runners in three heats gave little reason for hope. Already in the first two races the favorites pushed the pace and shone with times well under 1:50 min. And in kurzdorfer’s group of all people the favorites didn’t really want to go at a high speed.
