Bad kissingen's district administrator thomas bold: pushing forward forward-looking issues

These are the last days of 2018. Many people are now looking back or venturing a look ahead to the next year. We asked celebrities from the district: how was it for you, the year 2018?? What are they looking forward to in 2019? And what they prefer to postpone until 2020? In the next part: district administrator thomas bold (CSU).

1. What was your high point in 2018?

Thomas bold: there are many outstanding projects, z. B. The construction work on the BBZ in munnerstadt, the bavarian music academy, the rhon mountain house or the decision to build the rhon nature experience center at the klaushof wildlife park with an office in the district. The most important thing in all of this is the excellent cooperation between the district council and the administration for the benefit of the citizens. That makes me proud!

2. What was your low point in 2018?

For me personally, the death of my deputy alfred schrenk was a painful loss. Since 2014, he has been a loyal and reliable deputy for me, has attended many appointments and has been a worthy representative for the district. After walter muller and wolfgang back, he was already the third outstanding local politician we have lost in the current election period in the county council. I am very moved by this.

3. What are you looking forward to in 2019?

I am pleased that we are continuing to invest in our schools, trams, administration, the opnv and are addressing forward-looking issues such as z.B. Advancing e-mobility, telemedicine and digitization. Besides, part of our reconstruction and renovation work, the main building and the extension, will be completed, so that the move can take place in spring summer. In addition, the music academy will be inaugurated, and we continued the jobblogger project and the location campaign.

4. What they stopped doing or did differently in 2019?

I would be happy if I had more time for some things. But as the saying goes, when the wind of change blows, some build walls and others windmills. I belong with the others!

5. What do you prefer to postpone until 2020?

I'm not a person who puts off things that are pending. Everything has its time and every time has its challenges.

even stars have guardian angels

Stars are also no longer what they used to be. Maybe he just wasn’t paying attention for a moment or maybe he dozed off. Just before christmas, the rough star in the sky could not hold on any longer and fell down to earth. And yet, as always, he had wanted to shine over bethlehem when christ was born. Rough star, what now? Good advice is expensive, plotzlich rhymes with "bethlehem also a "problem. But the remedy is coming, and on wings. Apparently stars also have their guardian angels. They take the star and carry it on wings to its rightful place in the sky, so that it can shine again at the right time. Just in time. But you can rely on the guardian angels.

Of course, this is a harmless story – because you should not rely only on your guardian angels. But in 2007, peter schindler, pianist, organist, composer and music producer, turned it into a small musical play for children’s choirs, which in just a quarter of an hour offers the possibility of spreading a pre-christmas atmosphere without stables and oxen and donkeys, i.E. Beyond the usual nativity plays. The six songs are set in such a way that they do not overtax the children vocally and can be sung in one or more voices. The melodies are easy to remember – and one of them is already familiar: "vom himmel hoch da komm ich her" sing the angels as they transport the star to its place. You could actually rephrase the song: "up in the sky, I’ve got to go up there". At the end, everything is back in its place and in order. And this is also shown by the music: "finally the star is back, nothing is missing for christmas happiness" is a little good mood waltz.

"Rough star, what now?" Opened the afternoon concert in the spa theater, which brigitte and burkhard ascherl under the motto "advent and contemplative for large and small" to which they had brought three of their choirs: the children’s choir and the youth choir as well as the julifa choir. The kantorei is currently well occupied with the preparation for bach’s christmas oratorio on 16 december. December. And, of course, the children were first: one group played the dancing angels who save the star, the other sang in the background the songs that comment on the event. Brigitte ascherl had succeeded in getting the two groups to concentrate, because first performances in front of an audience – and then on a real theater stage – actually have an enormous distraction potential.

It has to be said, however, that one thing made it very challenging: the young people were accompanied by the state bath philharmonic orchestra. Christoph staschowski had arranged the piano accompaniment composed by peter schindler very lively and colorful for orchestra, and the troupe around bandmaster burghard toelke seemed to enjoy accompanying the angels and the choir. The youngest may not have noticed this or quickly forgotten it. But for the older ones, especially for the youth choir, making music together with an orchestra was certainly an interesting and important experience.

Then came the well-known and lesser-known songs. Burkhard ascherl conducted the julifa choir in john rutter’s "the most wonderful time" and loonis mcglohon’s "christmas season of joy. At irving berlin’s "white christmas" the choir loved to float on the soft chromaticism of the spiritual "it’s a birthday" he articulated the typical strong rhythmics.

The orchestra gave the singers a breather with a medley of christmas songs. The question of who wrote this entertaining arrangement must remain open. It was all the hits around the christmas tree: from "every year again" to "every year again" and "tomorrow the santa claus will come" about" O fir tree" or "es ist ein ros entsprugen" (a rose has sprung up) up to the triumphant "daughter of zion" and the ingredients were enough. And it was simply fun to listen, not only because everything was arranged in a very varied way, but also because the musicians kept away from any burdening christmas pathos and aimed at the cheerful side of the event.

The youth choir, again with piano accompaniment, showed what can be achieved with a good challenge of talents: with the strongly rhythmic "jubilate deo", broken down into individual syllables by jay althouse and the atmospheric spiritual "this little light of mine" – although it is not at all easy to clap rhythmically and still hold the notes. Together with the children they sang the two-part "stern uber bethlehem", whereby the youth choir took over the more difficult, because very high second voice. He did the same with "leise rieselt der schnee" by jay althouse, which was so well structured that it had the effect of softly ringing bells. As a common conclusion sung by all choirs and accompanied by the orchestra, john rutter once again had his say with "the star of bethlehem".

As an encore only one song was possible: "jingle bells". The audience clapped along. The star shone again. The advent season could begin.

Message for small and coarse

"Tobias elsaber is not just an author, but a real multi-talent", explains christiane weib, head of the bamberg public library, to the young listeners. Around 25 elementary school students came to the parish hall of maria hilf on tuesday afternoon to hear tobias elsaber read from his book "linus lindbergh und die invasion der roboter" (linus lindbergh and the robot invasion) to be read aloud. The 45-year-old author has already been a boy band member, a freelance journalist for radio and even a software programmer, among other things.

Currently elsaber is on the road as an author, singer and songwriter. He writes novels for children and teenagers, even though he grew up without any children’s books and had to sit out the fourth grade because he had failed a german class. But in the meantime he finds writing and above all imagination "totally cool, because it offers more possibilities than reality. "Ever since i was a child, it has been my dream to live in the middle of stuttgart airport," the children sing loudly, he notes. For this reason, the main character of his book was also placed in the middle of an airport.

Literature and music

The children listen attentively to the adventurous tale of a young inventor’s son named linus lindbergh and his best friend majus 12, a fashion-loving robot. The author from stuttgart then picks up the ukulele to sing a song he wrote for his book series about linus lindbergh. "Because crazy is normal and normal is crazy", his voice resounds. "Turn the world upside down, follow the lindbergh way", the children sing along loudly.
Music is present in all his books, and he is always thrilled by the power of a song sung together, elsaber explains. The mixture of reading aloud and singing also goes down well with the children. "I think it was very nice", reports seven-year-old anna. "I heard about the books for the first time today and wanted to read on straight away at home", says eight-year-old wunderburg schoolboy mihnea.

"Meaningful digitalization

Also that it was part of a "world premiere", so to speak the children are happy. They were the first to hear elsaber read sections from his new book, which will not be published until the 22nd. February 2018 will be published. "Eden park – the ninth cube" the novel. It is about vincent, a young boy who suffers from pronounced screen allergy.

Tobias elsaber’s current book can be seen as an ironic and critical portrayal of our cellphone- and computer-driven society. He would like to see an end to the current digital madness. "Meaningful digitization is an issue that affects all generations", the author clarifies. Consequently, he wanted to use his books to draw the attention not only of young readers but also of their parents to the prevailing problems.
Delusions of modesty in elementary school, the addictive potential of social networks, and young "influencers-movements via youtube were not right and partly irresponsible. He feels that both children and parents have lost control of the digital world.

That’s why music is so close to his heart. "It shows that we are human beings and not machines. Creativity and imagination are what make us human", explains the stuttgart.
In addition to his lectures, the 45-year-old author also conducts writing workshops for children and young people. "Every one of us has the greatest computer in the world sitting on his neck", says tobias elsaber "and i show the kids how to use it."

Mozart can also be cool!

Sometimes days start terribly: you are sitting tired in the school bus and next to you a classmate is playing terrible music loudly. On days like this, you want to go home to bed right away! The situation is quite different, as was reported a few weeks ago by the HDE. Then one got perhaps even good mood – because favorite music makes spab.

Favorite music depends on parents and friends
but what is actually favorite music? And where does it come from? These are the questions that 60 young students explored on friday with professor stefan hormann and his colleague roland kocina. The two are music padagogues. That is, they research all things related to music. And they explore how good music teaching works.

Together with the children's university students, they have found out quite exciting things about favorite music: for example, that it depends on what songs parents and friends like to listen to. If your parents like to listen to classical music, beethoven or mozart, you probably like beethoven and mozart as well.

Classical music is unpopular
But most parents don't like to listen to classical music. This was shown when the children were allowed to vote on various pieces of music: only 13 out of 60 children liked "little night music of mozart. "She's the one" 19 children like to listen to "nossa" by robbie williams by michel telo 23. And "oye como va" carlos santana even 45 children think it's a good idea!

The type of music you listen to also depends on your age. You probably like a lot of different kinds of music. But when you get older, things will change: most young people prefer to listen to pop and rock – they don't think anything else is cool.

For hip-hoppers, music determines clothing and circle of friends
But there are also young people who don't listen to rock or pop music. They want to be different from the others – and use music to do it! You have probably seen young people wearing very wide pants and often a baseball cap on their head. They become "hip hoppers because they all like "hip hop" music horen. Music is so important to them that it even determines their clothing style and circle of friends!

But even more important than your taste in music during puberty is the music you hoard when you're 23 or 24. Stefan hormann and his colleagues have found out: this is the music you will probably like best all your life! That's why in some discotheques there are so called u-30 parties. At these parties comes the music that many over-30s listened to when they were in their early 20s.

Children replayed a piece by santana
At the end of the lecture, the young students were also allowed to make their own music – and sometimes that wasn't easy at all! Sarah is supposed to play tok tok tok on a cowbell while annika drums on bongos ti-ki ti-ki ta-ki. You can get confused – even if many other children are tapping the same melody on their thighs. But in the end, professor roland kocina was quite satisfied: "you did a very good job", he praised the musicians. And sarah is also enthusiastic: "it was great that we were allowed to do something ourselves for once!"

The Middle Ages returns to the monastery maria bildhausen

"It has never been this rough", says the deputy general manager of maria bildhausen, michael nowotny. Chief organizer rainer ludwig, group leader in the workshops for people with care needs, has gone one better for the fifth edition. Much of what has thrilled the thousands of visitors in recent years will be there again. And there will also be a lot of new things to discover. 50 camp groups from different eras with about 450 participants are scattered all over the extensive monastery grounds.

In 2013, for the first time, those responsible in maria bildhausen decided to resurrect the middle ages in the old walls. To make sure it sticks in people’s minds, the second edition followed in 2014. "At that time we postponed it for a week", says michael nowotny. The organizers did not want to collide with the botenlauben festival in bad kissingen-reiterwiesen. This takes place every two years on even years. In 2015 there was the third forum cistercium. Since then, the rule has been that the spectacle is always held in alternation with the botenlauben festival, i.E. On odd-numbered years, always on the weekend after the start of school. After 2017, the fifth edition is now starting and this small jubilee is to be celebrated in a special way.

A medieval market is a natural part of such a festival. The will be open on saturday from 14 to 22 o’clock and on sunday from 11 to 18 o’clock. In addition there are different handicraft presentations. In addition to a stonemason, ceramist, carpenter, board weaver will be new this time a bone carver and a glass bead winder. Vendors from various fields offer medieval jewelry, wooden goods, furs, fabrics and much more.

To give visitors a comprehensive insight into life in the middle ages, the organizers have invited the thulbaer bauernhaufen (peasants). The performers will have to pay the "tithing" on saturday from 16 o’clock and on sunday from 14.30 o’clock as well as the "klostersturm on saturday from 18.30 p.M. And on sunday from 4 p.M. Onwards. During the tooth drop, the spectators get a deep insight into the life of the farmers and the lord of the manor at that time. In up to twelve realistic scenes, the peasants try to deceive their magistrate in order to lower the interest rate.

The castle or monastery storm is another high point of the rallies of the thulba peasantry, or rather the thulba peasantry. After the levies for the farmers became unbearable, there is finally an uprising. As in 1524 and 1525, the peasants gathered at the monastery and stormed it. A gate brought along is destroyed in the process. Protectors, battering rams, wooden ladders, torches and original weapons, which the farmers carried at that time, will be used.

The group meli melo from nurnberg will again offer jugglery on both days. The members are holding a meeting on saturday at 21.30 o’clock a fire show. Before, from 9 pm, the actors and members of the camp groups will march across the country in a rude torchlight procession.

Of course, the children were also thought of again. The puppet show "kistler and his wife" from regensburg is there. This time they also bring their woodworm circus with them. Marchenerzahler petra moslein will entertain the kids at the beehive, but will also perform a frivolous marchen for adults on saturday night.

Medieval music is not to be missed at forum cistercium. "Shadow tail" and "gugelhupf entertain the audience on the main stage and the handler stage. "Peter the bard" meanwhile plays scottish and irish music in the historic brewery of the monastery.

A medieval feast should also include the right tastings. "Met amensis" will be there with mead and non-alcoholic drinks, in "heiko’s feast house" there is lye food with mushrooms, turkey meat and mushroom soup, the "potato house" is present, also the butchery glasauer and the leaseholder of the coffee roastery in the monastery, rainer buhner will prepare a coffee drink on the open fire. And that is by no means all.

Because the program is very extensive and the land quite rough, the responsible persons have invited again a herald. "Carolan the tinderbox" will show the visitors the right way. Detailed information about the individual program points can be found here.

Enjoyment festival around the local beer

A journey of discovery through the brewing culture of the habberge district is offered by the enjoyment festival all about local beer, which will take place on saturday, 27. April, from 14 to 22 o’clock on the historical market place of the city konigsberg takes place. In case of bad weather, the event moves to the stadthalle am bleichdamm.

Attractive supporting program

A varied program awaits the visitors. The start is at 14.30 o’clock, when the new beer princess kerstin friedrich together with district administrator wilhelm schneider and mayor claus bittenbrunn will officially open the festival.

The whole area of the historical market place is transformed into a pleasure mile, where the guests are spoiled. The six local breweries raab (hofheim), goller (zeil), hartleb (maroldsweisach), bayer (theinheim) and schlossbrauerei zeitlos (oberschwappach) serve their various beer specialties fresh from the barrel. The municipal brewers from dorflis and unfinden are also part of the party.

There will also be information on hops, malt and beer. At various stations, visitors get an insight into how beer is made and what ingredients and raw materials are needed for it.

Of course, a good beer also goes with a decent meal. And that’s why the festival in konigsberg also offers culinary specialties for every taste. Jonathan eller from auenland beef and the konigsberg butchery stadtler will serve dishes to match the beer – from burgers and pulled beef sandwiches to sausages, steaks and french sausage salad. Coffee and cake are provided by the cafe am marktplatz and silke beck from cafe zwergriese offers homemade kaseplootz, streuselkuchen and crispy bars.

But that is by no means everything: the "zeller stammtischbrau shows how to brew beer in a mobile brewery and the albertos will provide unplugged with unabashedly hearty french music for a lively atmosphere. At the stands of the local breweries, visitors can talk shop about hops and malt as well as about the local brewing culture and learn a lot of interesting facts about the brewing process.

The organizer of the festival is "naturally from here", a cooperation of innkeepers and direct marketers, which breweries have also joined as members.

Those who come to konigsberg by car do not have to worry about parking spaces. There is plenty of parking on the bleichdamm, and the marketplace is only a few minutes away.

The event will take place in all weather conditions. If it rains, you can have a beer or two in the city hall. The burgers can look forward to an enjoyable beer festival: a toast to the diverse brewery culture in the district of habberge!
