The naturfreunde kulmbach started the new year with a winter hike followed by a fortified drink. 45 participants met for this purpose at the katzbachtal settlers’ home – more than ever before. Due to weather conditions, organizer manfred motschenbacher led the members through the streets and many alleyways of the settlement. To the surprise of many, some ways were unknown until now.<\/p>\n
The winter tour led from the katzbach valley, past the kreuzkirche church and the mangersreuth school, crisscrossing the settlement with its now mostly rebuilt settlement houses. One or the other memory about incidents and events was told, for the younger ones this was mostly new territory. Back we went over the eastern part of mangersreuth past the former youth hostel, which was once owned by the nature lovers. This information was also completely new for many participants.<\/p>\n
