Outdoor pool causes some frustration

Outdoor pool causes some frustration

For nine years, the chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the bavarian state parliament, markus rinderspacher, has been involved in the "red cyclists" summer campaign on the road in the free state. The penultimate stop on the tour and the last stop in bavaria was a stop at the outdoor pool in autenhausen. A "showcase project with a crunch", as carsten hollein, SPD district chairman and city councilor in seblach, remarked. For as much as the participants of the cycling group had enjoyed refreshing themselves: due to various problems (first because of the swimming pool master’s illness, and most recently because of the quality of the water), the idyllic pool – as reported several times – has to remain closed this season. Even though "chief technician dominik fick of the forderverein the classification of the measured values as "carcinogenic criticized as excessive, because the strict limits otherwise applied to indoor baths, in which vapors – unlike in open-air facilities – could not be drawn off. "So we’re ready to go, just in case someone says we can", although martina kilian explained with a view to the facility, which is kept in top condition by the forderverein, the second chairwoman’s gaze has long been directed forward, to the transformation of the facility into a natural swimming pool. With the technology from the 1970s, better values will no longer be achieved, she admitted.

Kilian outlined the planned conversion work and explained why the "autilus" project is so important suddenly on the verge of collapse again. And this despite the fact that the seblach city council has already approved funds and planned measures have fallen victim to the red pencil. Only one bidder responded to the europe-wide general invitation to tender, and his offer was 92,000 euros higher than the calculated costs. On 13. In september, representatives of the forderverein now want to discuss with the city of seblach and the planners how things can be continued. In order to reduce the deficit, trades are to be put out to tender individually and more work than currently calculated is to be carried out by the club members themselves. The renovation of the swimming pool, which is being funded by the city and the eler, and the modernization of the kiosk and sanitary facilities, which is being supported by leader funds, cannot be separated, emphasized kilian. District administrator michael busch (SPD) offered the help of the district administration in the tendering process, while bad rodach’s mayor tobias ehrlicher (SPD) advised that the work might be postponed until spring in the hope of obtaining better prices. "We are all in the starting holes and will not give up despite all the obstacles", kilian made clear. Before the pool actually has to be closed, the association prefers to wait another year, she added. After all, the open-air swimming pool is the meeting place par excellence for the locals. "The longer it takes, the more frustrated the volunteers become", gave hollein cause for concern.

Even stars have guardian angels

even stars have guardian angels

Stars are also no longer what they used to be. Maybe he just wasn’t paying attention for a moment or maybe he dozed off. Just before christmas, the rough star in the sky could not hold on any longer and fell down to earth. And yet, as always, he had wanted to shine over bethlehem when christ was born. Rough star, what now? Good advice is expensive, plotzlich rhymes with "bethlehem also a "problem. But the remedy is coming, and on wings. Apparently stars also have their guardian angels. They take the star and carry it on wings to its rightful place in the sky, so that it can shine again at the right time. Just in time. But you can rely on the guardian angels.

Of course, this is a harmless story – because you should not rely only on your guardian angels. But in 2007, peter schindler, pianist, organist, composer and music producer, turned it into a small musical play for children’s choirs, which in just a quarter of an hour offers the possibility of spreading a pre-christmas atmosphere without stables and oxen and donkeys, i.E. Beyond the usual nativity plays. The six songs are set in such a way that they do not overtax the children vocally and can be sung in one or more voices. The melodies are easy to remember – and one of them is already familiar: "vom himmel hoch da komm ich her" sing the angels as they transport the star to its place. You could actually rephrase the song: "up in the sky, I’ve got to go up there". At the end, everything is back in its place and in order. And this is also shown by the music: "finally the star is back, nothing is missing for christmas happiness" is a little good mood waltz.

Sochi’s gigantic games – a visit to “ground zero

Sochi's gigantic games - a visit to

The graveyard may stay. A little hidden behind blue tarpaulins, stone slabs with artistic portraits of the deceased defy the swirling dust. On the huge construction site where the sochi olympic park is being built, the graves between the stadium and the figure skating palace are the last relic of days long past. The former residents of the area were forcibly relocated, their houses demolished. For the gigantic project of winter games of opposites on the black sea and in the north caucasian mountains, the makers are only being held back by the peace of the dead at the most.

If you want to find out what the olympics in russian will look like in two years, start your journey in lukewarm to the coast. Here, the eaves of five ice rinks are already rising into the winter sky, cranes as rough as towers are pulling up the olympic stadium. Trees, grassy areas, a bird sanctuary are to follow. For the sporting image campaign of an entire country, the former summer health resort has set everything back to square one. "Ground zero" is what mayor anatoli pachomov calls the state of sochi at the beginning of the work – the "zero hour".

Defendant receives prison sentence for animal torture

Defendant receives prison sentence for animal torture

Cruel pictures are presented to the court: emaciated horses, the vertebrae are visible, the hoof bones too. The officers shake their heads in shock. "Let's turn the pictures around, you can't look at that", says one. The eyes keep wandering from the photos to the woman who is responsible for them.
The 37-year-old accused also looks at the photos. But she doesn't pull a face – and the stakes are high for her. This process can be the end for your dream. She loves to work with horses. She likes animals so much that she set up a sanctuary for old horses. There horses, whose owners no longer have time for them, should get the care and attention that would otherwise have been denied to them.

Horses must starve
Such were the intentions and premeditations of the defendants – the plan ended in disaster. In the beginning, the defendant spared no expense or effort to offer the best to the animals. There were new shoes and only the best feed. Not surprisingly, the horse owner soon found herself in a financial bind. A bottleneck from which especially the horses suffered.
Now and then there was nothing to eat – so the food rations were shortened. In the end, however, these cuts took on such dimensions that the horses went hungry. They decreased, all fat reserves were used up. The sad climax of the shattered dream was the death of the mare lacey, who collapsed during transport and eventually had to be put to sleep.
Now the 37-year-old is on trial for animal cruelty, and it doesn't look good for her. On the first day of the trial a week ago, it was no different. The veterinarian who had to relieve lacey of her suffering was still shocked by the sight he saw. "The horse was a skeleton with only skin on top." The other horse that was transported with lacey did not look any better either. "The only difference was that the horse was still standing."
The owner of another horse was also completely shocked by the condition of her cora. Cora was also only skin and bones and had to be fed fluently for a long time. To lose weight like that, the horses must have starved for at least eight weeks, the veterinarian and the official veterinarian agree.
The trial had to be continued because a witness had not appeared a week ago. A witness in whom the defendant had placed her last hopes. They were allowed to burst at the latest, when the prosecutor dissects the testimony of the witness.

Show spectacle on slippery ice in hochstadt

A delicate female fairy floats in the bright sunshine over the meadows of shire. Or: lisa noack dances at the 30. Ice gala of the ESC their version of "lord of the rings. She swings easily through the ice stadium, turns pirouettes and dares to make bold jumps.
She is one of the many young figure skaters – among the older active members of the club only four are male – who show their skills in the crosshairs of two spotlights in front of almost 1000 spectators on saturday evening. Lisa noack, like her sister kristin, is an experienced dancer, who in turn trains children and the youth groups.
Lisa escorted the visitors of the gala back into spring, after the warm temperatures at noon they had to dress again for proper cold ones.
Nevertheless, one spurts the cold at best at the own fuben. In contrast, one believes that the young figure skaters glide over a glittering dance floor, whether they as a group perform a groovy rock'n'roll on the "parquet" or how kristina dorotic and sabrina toifl make a name for themselves as wicked salon ladies. Or move the starlight express from roller skates to skids.

Knife attack in the middle of ravensburg – several seriously injured

Knife attack in the middle of ravensburg - several seriously injured

It is a sunny autumn day when screams suddenly ring through the center of ravensburg. People are running around in a state of total panic, looking for help – that’s how mayor daniel rapp (CDU) tells it later in the day. The situation has calmed down a bit again. In the afternoon, things looked quite different: a man flinches with a knife on marienplatz square. He seriously injures three people, one of them life-threatening.

His motive? This is still completely unclear in the evening, as the investigators emphasize. A police spokesman says that a terrorist background has been ruled out for the time being. Beyond that he does not say much. The fact that the suspected perpetrator can be arrested quickly is probably also thanks to the city’s mayor: according to his own statements, it was he who confronted the man with the knife.

Citizens’ initiative has city council resolution reviewed

Arkadius guzy the resistance to the planned burgerhaus has not yet ended. Elfriede dickert and ronald holl have sent a letter to the district office of bad kissingen this week. In it, they ask for a legal review of the city council’s resolution of 18 december 2009. February.

At that meeting, the city council had decided to make changes to the burgerhaus. These slightly modify the architecture of the building and are expected to make the construction of an estimated 200 000 euros more favorable. With this rezoning, the city wants to meet the demands from the referendum. However, the citizens’ initiative apparently does not go far enough for it to consider the changes as a fulfillment of the citizens’ referendum. In the justification of the letter, the representatives of the citizens’ initiative are therefore of the opinion that the current change of plans should have happened only one year after the citizens’ decision. They refer to a passage in the bavarian municipal code on the binding effect of a referendum and want the city council’s decision to be tested against it by the legal supervisory authority.

Training for the worst

Training for the worst

It was assumed that two workers had fainted in the sewer pipe – presumably due to gases – and now had to be rescued from the pipe and then from the construction pit, which was about eight meters deep.
The firefighters’ own safety was the top priority, and so the air at the bottom of the pit was first analyzed using special equipment. City fire chief michael wolf, who had observed and planned the exercise, had even had some nitrogen introduced to see if the measuring devices would respond.
After this was the case, a team with pre-air breathers descended into the construction site, but without using the available equipment for this purpose. Because it was the task of another group to bring in there a ladder and secure it so that everything could be walked on safely.
Because of the muddy ground, they had refrained from letting anyone play the injured person and instead had placed two heavy, corporeal dolls in the channel, which first had to be retrieved from the pipe.
In the meantime, one of the two swivel ladders from kissingen had been positioned so that a pulley could be attached to the basket for the drag basket stretcher. Then everything went relatively quickly. One after the other, the two "accident victims" were brought out into the daylight by drag basket stretcher and turntable ladder.
On thursday, another such exercise will take place at the same location: for the second platoon of the volunteer fire department of bad kissingen. Because in the meantime, rescue and technical operations are numerically ahead of the actual firefighting in all fire departments.
