Lonnerstadt must plant 20 trees

"Am sonnenhugel, the sports grounds of the TSV lonnerstadt, are to be renovated by the 30. November, 20 trees will be planted within two weeks, mayor stefan himpel () announced at the meeting. The district office refers to the "accompanying landscape conservation plan", which was created years ago with the designation of the sports land.
However, the basic plan has not yet been implemented. Although the land use and development plan for the area, in the words of mayor stefan himpel, "still date from the last millennium". When the TSV was moved out of the village and the new land was created at the sonnenhugel, this necessitated the adjustment of the land use plan with the corresponding accompanying plan. Mayor himpel does not know why the accompanying landscape conservation plan was not implemented. However, he wants to implement the request of the authority as possible on time. "But a few more days are not enough", he had been assured in office.
Himpel sought advice and help from the district technical advisory service. On monday, he met with andreas sehm and hans leuchs from the district office as well as with landscape planner markus fleckenstein on site. At this date, the planting is "bindingly fixed" the mayor said.

English oak and norway maple

The district technical advisory service in the district office was helpful in the implementation, the mayor said. The authority will obtain offers for the trees. English oak, basswood and norway maple are to be planted. All of them in the north and northeast of the sports area. The trees should already have a circumference of 18 to 20 centimeters – measured at a height of one meter – aueisen.
For the municipality of lonnerstadt, the planting means "an extraordinary expenditure". Including the digging and planting work, the mayor estimates the tree planting at around 8000 euros. Without a council committee alone, himpel can only decide on 2500 euros. Since the next meeting in the lonnerstadt town hall is not until 18. December, the council authorized the mayor to award the most economical bid.
