In obertrubach, everything stays above the belt

In obertrubach, everything stays above the belt

Vacations on the farm is the comedy in three acts, which the theater group of the parish "st is performing. Laurentius" performing in these days. What son wendelin (martin reichel) and his mother liesl (katharina brutting) expect as a lucrative new source of income, however, makes the farmer from kalblhof (matthias gruner) quite skeptical. Driving in his role as old servant and miner christian habermann. Like no other, he bridges the gap between the rustic countryman and the "city dwellers" to the point. He makes expressions that only a "truwier" can make knows.
The servant can not do much with the wishes of the north german guests. And when he was talking about the "educated hoard, man descended from apes, then they were apes. Chewing gum manufacturer otthold (manuel brutting), his wife vera (theresia dresel) and journalist paham jost (stefan hafner) have a hard time with the customs on the farm. You can see the "religious marchenland" and many other customs and usages do not understand.

The spectators keep coming
In between stands the maid kathl (petra zitzmann), who is not averse to compliments, but can also defend herself resolutely. That in the end everyone somehow finds each other and everything comes together is to be expected in a fun play.
The obertrubach theater series takes place for the 27th time. Times interrupted once a year instead of. And to the 27. For the first time, it is pastor werner wolf who directs the event. He has also brought the obertrubach theater into being himself. Wolf also chooses the pieces.
It is his concern to get away from the frivolous and the fashionable-contemporary, which often all too compulsively aims below the belt. Wolf seeks the hearty, perhaps also innocent spab. As the unchanged high audience response proves, his idea of a gentle theater evening is well received by the people of obertrubach and the surrounding area. "It's my first time here", said pastor michael gehret from pinzberg "and i'm glad that it's not ordinary here, but simply funny". "I got a ticket by chance", said gisela bauer.
"I think the theater is good, the servants just great", praised the mayoress of hiltpoltstein. Anna heid from wohlmannsgesees, on the other hand, has already played "at least fifteen times" been there when the actors from obertrubach take the stage. "It is already, funny and sociable, so it must be", she says. Christian habermann, too, can perhaps no longer imagine life without the theater. He has been with the obertrubach group since the very first day. And also this year the role of the servant is formally cut to his body.

Double load
Pastor wolf is also happy about young talents like katrin schmitt, who ventures onto the stage for the first time. "You must have a tribe, but I know I will find many open-minded people here", wolf is pleased. Without the often invisible helpers, however, even all the showmanship would be nothing. The prompter lisa neuner, the make-up artist hedwig karl, the technicians mirco and pascal reichel and also the stage designers erwin dressel and fritz-walter reichel contribute a lot to the success of the production. And that's not all the helpers yet.
Respect also deserves how well pastor wolf copes with the double burden of work. Because the holidays are especially busy for priests. This year, a pastoral hard case has become very close to his heart. Then it was a matter of taking the hurdle and being funny again. Perhaps one must say "should", because the changeover is not always easy for him either, admits wolf.

Defendant receives prison sentence for animal torture

Defendant receives prison sentence for animal torture

Cruel pictures are presented to the court: emaciated horses, the vertebrae are visible, the hoof bones too. The officers shake their heads in shock. "Let's turn the pictures around, you can't look at that", says one. The eyes keep wandering from the photos to the woman who is responsible for them.
The 37-year-old accused also looks at the photos. But she doesn't pull a face – and the stakes are high for her. This process can be the end for your dream. She loves to work with horses. She likes animals so much that she set up a sanctuary for old horses. There horses, whose owners no longer have time for them, should get the care and attention that would otherwise have been denied to them.

Horses must starve
Such were the intentions and premeditations of the defendants – the plan ended in disaster. In the beginning, the defendant spared no expense or effort to offer the best to the animals. There were new shoes and only the best feed. Not surprisingly, the horse owner soon found herself in a financial bind. A bottleneck from which especially the horses suffered.
Now and then there was nothing to eat – so the food rations were shortened. In the end, however, these cuts took on such dimensions that the horses went hungry. They decreased, all fat reserves were used up. The sad climax of the shattered dream was the death of the mare lacey, who collapsed during transport and eventually had to be put to sleep.
Now the 37-year-old is on trial for animal cruelty, and it doesn't look good for her. On the first day of the trial a week ago, it was no different. The veterinarian who had to relieve lacey of her suffering was still shocked by the sight he saw. "The horse was a skeleton with only skin on top." The other horse that was transported with lacey did not look any better either. "The only difference was that the horse was still standing."
The owner of another horse was also completely shocked by the condition of her cora. Cora was also only skin and bones and had to be fed fluently for a long time. To lose weight like that, the horses must have starved for at least eight weeks, the veterinarian and the official veterinarian agree.
The trial had to be continued because a witness had not appeared a week ago. A witness in whom the defendant had placed her last hopes. They were allowed to burst at the latest, when the prosecutor dissects the testimony of the witness.

An unbelievable witness
She owned the riding interest in lacey, cared for her and also rode the mare. Although all the horses at the sanctuary were sick, they were still fit for their age, she said. Even then, the public prosecutor addresses the witness about the contradictions, but she sticks to her version, even after the public prosecutor has reminded her several times of her duty to tell the truth. There is no end to the inconsistencies. The witness can't quite remember when she started worrying about lacey. "Spring or winter 2011?", she dug. The prosecutor is not satisfied with that. Her patience and tolerance for the witness's evasive answers have long since run out. She wants to know the exact time. "I won't let them go before they've at least made an effort to remember."
The witness is at a loss. Her head turns red. She lapses into a brief silence before finally replying. The contradictions nevertheless do not take an end. The prosecutor speaks to the witness about it, the witness is speechless. "That's what happens when you say things that aren't true.", says the representative of the prosecutor's office.
The hoped-for salvation of the defendants has thus fizzled out. The emails that the 37-year-old wrote to a food supplier do the rest. There the accused herself describes the catastrophic conditions at the sanctuary. "I don't know what to offer the horses", it says in one of the news. "The small change lack of money to buy feed.
At some point, even the remaining feed stock was used up, and the horses had at best only straw to eat. But it was not only the food situation that was miserable. The horse cora got a colic. The animals stood wet in their stalls. In addition, the owner no longer knew what to do with the filth caused by the animals. The dumpster was full and again there was no money to empty it.
It is not surprising that the prosecutor demands a ban on the defendant working with animals any longer. In addition, it demands a prison sentence of one year and four months. With their earlier sentences, a total prison term of two years should be made out of this.
Which also brings the court to the horse owner's criminal history: she has already had to serve several prison sentences for fraud. It has not passed any of its tests. "The defendant is a failure of preservation and nothing else speaks positively for her", the prosecutor brings it to the point.
But there are enough minus points for the horse owner: she shows neither insight nor remorse. The defendant also lacked compassion for the horses that were suffering, as well as a confession. "She was blind to the suffering of the horses."
The defender has nothing to counter this. He nevertheless demands a lighter punishment. Both he and the prosecutor agree that there is no longer any question of preservation.
And indeed: the 37-year-old is sentenced for animal torture in three cases with her previous convictions to a total sentence of one year and ten months. For five years she is not allowed to keep animals, neither in private nor for work.

No “handyparking” in kronach

No

Parking with a parking ticket is not always practical: the money must be suitable and you must know exactly how long you want to park. But if it takes longer in the waiting room or when shopping, the anxiety increases. In some other upper franconian cities, therefore, there is the so-called "handyparking. The parking time can be extended by SMS also from on the way.

However, this will not be implemented in kronach for the time being. This was the result of the kronach main committee on monday. City councilor jonas geissler (CSU) had applied for "handyparking for the city.

Only one supplier
Head of the main office stefan wicklein explained that the "handyparking" has been checked by the city. The administration is opposed to "handyparking from. "There are two different systems", said wicklein. In one variant, one had to register as a user. "But this is not well accepted." That is why it is recommended to have a payment without registration, which does not require any personal data.
So far, however, there is only one manufacturer offering this parking system. It is used, for example, in coburg, erlangen, furth and sonneberg. But the "handyparking goods for the city of kronach associated with high costs. It would cost about 9000 euros annually. "You will not get new customers", said wicklein. But it is a sign of citizen friendliness.

Rich russians should also provide aid to cyprus

Rich russians should also provide aid to cyprus

Russia, which had already granted cyprus a 2.5 billion euro loan, continued to keep a low profile on friday. The background to the demands are the large sums of billions that russian oligarchs in particular have parked in the accounts of the bloated banking sector in the eurozone country of cyprus.

Michael meister (CDU), vice chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, warned that a contribution from the banks’ shareholders and lenders should also be discussed: "I think it is legitimate to ask how the owners and lenders of a financial institution should participate in a bailout if the institution gets into difficulties."It is also a question of the extent to which cyprus itself will participate in the financing. He is not talking about savings deposits and not about loans from other banks, stressed meister.

The vice chairman of the union caucus called it "remarkable" that cyprus is at least the second largest foreign investor in russia. Such a financially strong country must of course ask itself why it needs help from the euro partners at all. The question is why cyprus should not be able to solve these problems on the basis of its own financial strength," says borst.

Merkel: youth unemployment cannot be overcome 'with money alone

For the first time, heads of state and government have come to berlin together with the labor ministers and the heads of the employment agencies of the other 27 EU countries.

Merkel urged labor market reforms in other EU countries, among other things. It is “not wise, for example, if labor laws in some countries are only flexible for young people, but not for older people who have been working for a long time”. More mobility is also needed in europe.

The aim of the conference is to exchange experiences on tried-and-tested concepts for reducing youth unemployment. Six billion euros are immediately available for a youth guarantee. In europe, around 5.5 million young people are currently unemployed, most of them in the southern EU member states.

Fraudsters must go to jail

If some savings bank employees hadn’t made it so easy for them, the four accused men from chemnitz and the surrounding area could have faced much longer prison sentences. But so the district court of bamberg imposed on the gang of computer fraudsters between three years and seven months and two years and one month in prison. One even got off with a suspended sentence of 13 months.

Christine H. (name changed) is astonished when she takes a look at her account statements in june 2018: suddenly 49000 euro have disappeared! As an inquiry at her savings bank in bamberg reveals, she allegedly transferred the sum in three tranches herself. Thereby female christine H. Nothing at all about it. She also does not know the subject or the recipient. When a little later another 48,000 euros were missing, the bank intervened and saved the money.

Like christine H. Is it like many people all over germany. Cases from schweinfurt, wetzlar, bensheim, gottingen, munster, hanover and dusseldorf are pending at the district court of bamberg for the period may to november 2018. In some cases, the perpetrators made up to 24 consecutive attempts, as long as their scam had not yet been noticed and the account had not yet been blocked. In hundreds of other cases, the robbery was only attempted, but nothing was stolen.

Farmers get up to 600 million flood aid

farmers get up to 600 million flood aid

The federal states and the federal government are each contributing half of the sum, the federal ministry of agriculture explained. The money is to stay in the current and the coming year. The support to farmers is considered state aid and therefore requires the approval of the EU.

According to the berlin ministry, it is unlikely that the entire sum will be used up. At present, the farmers had reported damages of about 400 million euros. Of this, the lowen shares of 117 million euros each went to bavaria and saxony-anhalt. "We don’t foresee the damage amount going up," a spokesman said. At the moment, the water is still flowing away.

According to the ministry, however, the aid for agriculture, forestry and fishing is significantly lower than the reported damage – after all, insurance companies are also stepping in alongside the state. 120 million euros in emergency aid has been earmarked so far, according to the information provided. Unspent funds from the 600 million could also be used in case of possible further natural disasters until the end of 2014.

Cozy squares in hochstadt’s old town

cozy squares in hochstadt's old town

"There’ll be a wine and we’ll never be." Hafner’s hans and romer’s schorsch played the well-known viennese wine song at the wine festival in the "hirschen. Countless drinking songs exist on the wine. Here’s to italian wine, greek wine, wine from the rhine and wine from the mosel. Why is there hardly a song that praises the precious drops from france??

The iphofer, zeiler, volkacher and wurzburger are not only highly regarded in franconia. Even privy councillor goethe praised the good wine from wurzburger stein. The people of hochstadt, at any rate, are happy to enjoy the noble franken-grown wines, as could be observed at the wine festival of the associations.

The ski club, the local association, the scouts and the fishing association had invited. All four clubs had "a full house" already in the early evening. Most of the people did not go indoors because of the mild late summer temperatures, but outdoors.
